Starting a Blog — Who Is aka?
Hi, I'm aka. I've just created what is probably my 5th or 6th blog (🤔).
My goal is to organize my past experiences and knowledge, and by putting them out there, to be able to articulate my thoughts more readily.
So this blog will cover a variety of topics. Thanks for reading!

About My Hobbies
Gaming 🎮
I love gaming so much I could play all day. I've been hooked on FPS games for about 10 years now. Maybe someday I'll make a list of every game I've ever played...
Games I've Been Most Into
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops III (COD BO3)
- Quick take: The origin and the pinnacle of gaming for me. I'd love to play it again.
-
Battlefield 1 (BF1)
- Quick take: The game where I could flex the hardest.
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (COD BO4)
- Quick take: Honestly, I barely remember this one lol. But I have a lot of clips, so I must have been hooked.
-
Battlefield 5 (BF5)
- Quick take: It was decent, but I was more into COD CW so I didn't go deep.
-
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (COD CW)
- Quick take: The sniping was at just the right difficulty — it was fun.
-
BF2042
-
Quick take: The sniper mechanics are insane. DICE, why did you release something so baffling...
That said, if you learn the QS and sniper mechanics, there's potential to be unstoppable.
-
-
Apex
- Quick take: The game I'm most frustrated about because I couldn't improve. I was so bad I retired.
Reading 📖
Actually, about 80% of my reading is digital.
My all-time favorite story is Anpanman Can't Shed Tears (😭) — check it out if you're curious.
Other than that, I read completed novels from Shosetsuka ni Narou (a Japanese web novel platform). My favorite from there is the following — well, up to a certain point lol:
Slight spoiler: I think it would have been better if it ended with a BAD END. (If I recall correctly, they revised it from a BAD END 🤔)
I read Shosetsuka ni Narou regularly, so this blog will probably feature a lot of content related to web novels from there.
For other books, I read self-help, mental health, and wellness books. I've read everything by Yuu Suzuki in particular.
Singing 🎤
I love singing and can hit high notes (but I can't produce a beautiful tone 😭)
About My Personality — Through the Lens of the Big Five
In short, I'm an imaginative, anxious introvert 🤣
As for "what is the Big Five?" — please look it up. Here are my results as of 2024/07/18:
- Neuroticism: High
- Openness: High
- Agreeableness: Medium
- Conscientiousness: Medium
- Extraversion: Low
Extraversion has always been low. I was always gaming or reading by myself. I used to vaguely fear other people and avoid them, but now... I'm just not that interested. I think I've become more self-centered.
Openness and neuroticism are high. I'm the curious type who gets swayed by emotions. The classic "quick to burn, quick to burn out" personality. My emotions drive my daily life, so I'd like to lower neuroticism, but... I'm working on it.
Conscientiousness and agreeableness are medium. When conscientiousness and neuroticism conflict, I tend to prioritize emotions, so if I could control my impulses, it would probably be high. I do like making plans and executing them.
So that's roughly my personality when mapped to the Big Five.
Thank You for Reading This Far 💖
I've abandoned blogs many times before. At one point, I was posting diary-like entries about similar daily routines. But this time, my goal is "to organize and communicate my knowledge and experiences". Since this goal is clearer than before, I'll remind myself of it whenever I feel like giving up 💪
Thank you to everyone who read this far. Looking forward to more!
